Vladia Bajerovska is a self educated visual artist who chose photography as her focus and primary medium.

She began her career as a maternity and family photographer a number of years ago. Whilst gaining experience during long hours of endlessly capturing smiles and enchanting angles of the most difficult of subjects- children, she learnt how to react and respond quickly behind the camera.

By constantly observing light, that elusive yet ever present and changing aspect and force, she trained her eye and garnered the most sophisticated techniques to become a well sought after photographer.

Vladia originally hails all the way from Slovakia and after having travelled extensively for a few years, now lives in the Western Cape in South Africa.  She has published photographs in numerous local and international magazines.

Her article a few years ago on “Women older than fourty who are pregnant for the first time” for Femina magazine most notably highlighted the beauty and vulnerability of these strong enigmatic mothers. Similarly gentle, yet grounded were the photographs she contributed to their Father’s Day Feature a month later.

TRAVEL, a Slovak publication, featured several of her photographs of Cape Town and landscapes of Africa, whilst one of her works graced the front cover of Joburg Child’s Magazine. In 2005 her work was selected and chosen as a Judges’ Favourite in the international Travel Photographer of the Year Competition.  In 2006 she won a number of Commonwealth Photographic Awards in the UK.

Vladia currently specialises in portraiture and figure studies. She continually finds and fine-tunes the challenge of capturing each individual a remarkable opportunity to explore the secrets and qualities that makes us unique, different and intriguing.

Vladia’s flair and charming efficacy makes being photographed or mentored by her a life-enhancing experience that motivates one to weave a few sacred acts and moments into one’s own days and ways.
